St. Jane youth faith formation follows the Family Catechesis model. This program is conducted under the supervision of the Office of Religious Education to fulfill the requirements for ongoing faith formation. Sacramental preparation classes for First Communion and Confirmation are conducted separately, in addition to Family Catechesis.
Family Catechesis is open to grades K-12 and consists of one parent meeting a month, two lessons at home a month, and one family fellowship gathering a month. The goal of Family Catechesis is to strengthen the family and empower parents in their role as the primary catechists of their children while providing formation and support from catechists and small group leaders. We will offer Family Catechesis at St. Michael Mission in English and here at St. Jane in English and Spanish.
