Extraordinary Form Resuming
At 12:00 Noon this Sunday, April 11, the Extraordinary Form of the Mass at St. Jane de Chantal Church in Abita Springs will be resuming. The Mass in the EF will continue weekly at Noon at St. Jane Church.
The Mass will start simply as a Low Mass, as it is organized as a Parish Mass in accord with Summorum Pontificum and its accompanying documents.
New Staff Member
Please welcome Mrs. Joni Schaff to our Staff. She will be working as Assistant to Mrs. Bertha Rauch and Mrs. June Frechou and will be responsible for helping with the Bulletin, the Calendar, and various Bookkeeping and other responsibilities.
Many of you already know her, and of her family and their life and work in our Parish. We had asked publicly for prayers when Joni’s husband Val was pronounced a paraplegic for life, and watched as he made a complete recovery. During his time in the Catholic hospital in which they were staying, Joni kept the TV tuned to the station that showed the Chapel, the Mass, and the Tabernacle.
Her prayerful witness will be great value to our staff and our Parish life. She will have an e-mail address in the next day or two.
