Jesus and the Chief Priests and Elders

40 Days for Life

Remember that we’re in the midst of the 40 Days for Life, which is from September 24 through November 2. It’s never to late to join in prayer.

Synod on the Family

Everything you’d like to know about the upcoming Extraordinary Synod on the Family, can be found at the US Conference of Catholic Bishop’s Website.

The Synod will be meeting from October 5-19, 2014, in Vatican City, and will be discussing matters considered vital to the Christian Formation of Families and the spread of the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Remember to pray the Prayer for the Synod.

Jesus, Mary and Joseph,
in you we contemplate
the splendor of true love,
to you we turn with trust.

Holy Family of Nazareth,
grant that our families too
may be places of communion and prayer,
authentic schools of the Gospel
and small domestic Churches.

Holy Family of Nazareth,
may families never again
experience violence, rejection and division:
may all who have been hurt or scandalized
find ready comfort and healing.

Holy Family of Nazareth,
may the approaching Synod of Bishops
make us once more mindful
of the sacredness and inviolability of the family,
and its beauty in God’s plan.

Jesus, Mary and Joseph,
graciously hear our prayer.

We read in 2 Chronicles 7:14: “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and forgive their sin and will heal their land.” Let’s take that to heart.
